TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: 2026
Business Name: Groom Lab
Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
1. Overview
By booking an appointment or using Groom Lab’s services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms help ensure a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all pets, customers, and staff.
Groom Lab provides professional dog grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, de-shedding, nail care, and coat maintenance.
2. Appointments & Scheduling
Appointments can be made online, by phone, or in person. We recommend arriving on time to ensure your dog receives the full scheduled service.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment or rescheduling.
3. Pet Health & Safety
Owners must inform Groom Lab of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, sensitivities, behavioural concerns, or recent surgeries prior to the appointment.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop a grooming service if:
- a dog shows signs of illness
- a dog displays aggressive behaviour
- grooming may cause distress or harm
- parasites such as fleas are present
The safety and wellbeing of pets is always our top priority.
4. Vaccinations
Dogs should be up to date on core vaccinations appropriate for grooming environments. This helps protect all pets visiting Groom Lab.
5. Matted Coats
Matted fur can cause discomfort and skin irritation. In cases of severe matting, Groom Lab may recommend shorter grooming lengths to ensure comfort and safety.
Additional time may be required for heavily matted coats.
6. Behaviour
Dogs that show signs of aggression or severe anxiety may require additional handling time or modified grooming techniques.
If grooming cannot be completed safely, the session may be stopped.
7. Payment
Payment is due at the time of service completion. We accept common forms of payment including debit, credit, or other available methods.
8. Satisfaction
We aim to provide high-quality grooming results. If you have concerns about your dog’s groom, please contact us within 24 hours so we can review and assist.
9. Liability
While Groom Lab takes every reasonable precaution, grooming services involve the use of tools and equipment near sensitive areas. Minor irritation or stress may occasionally occur, particularly in dogs with pre-existing conditions.
By using our services, you acknowledge and accept these inherent grooming risks.
10. Changes to Terms
Groom Lab may update these Terms of Service periodically. Updates will be posted on our website.
